2014 Ford Falcon XR8 teased in new video

The 2014 Ford Falcon XR8 has been teased yet again, this time via an official video released by the local manufacturer.

Coming just four days after the new performance Ford Falcon had its 'XR8' badge teased, the clip highlights the facelifted car's bonnet scoop, grille, tail-lightsXR-stamped headlights and various badges.

A large brake set-up featuring crossed-drilled discs can also be seen behind black-painted alloy wheels, while a yellow pod-style air filter can be seen hiding in the forthcoming sedan's engine bay – the latter being identical to the set-up seen on the 351kW/570Nm supercharged 5.0-litre V8-powered FPV GT-F and 335kW FPV GT RSPEC.

Ford Australia has previously teased the new and final Falcon's headlights and tail-lights, previewing what appears to be a more upmarket design. Hardpoints and side panels are expected to be unchanged.

The last XR8 will act as Ford Australia's hero car until the 2015 arrival of the all-new 324kW/542Nm Ford Mustang.

An official on-sale date for the new Ford Falcon XR8 is yet to be announced, however, a full reveal is tipped for September ahead of a November launch.
