It’d be nice if Renault made a nice large SUV like this, although they don’t tend to make cars that aren’t front-wheel drive. If the Koleos was an exception, then a larger SUV should be too!

Nice car, love Mercedes too. Its weird thinking the Toyota Kluger comes with a standard reversing camera and this doesn’t… :S

I’d love this with the huge sunroof! Nice!

Gerhard, we are lucky to live in such a safe, democratic country such as Australia. So your opinion about the GL500 are welcome although not entirely understood, given the overall praise of the vehicle by this motoring journalist.

But let’s cut to the chase mate. You seem like a mildly intelligent person who likes to punch a few keys out.

So how about writing a review on your brand of 4WD – unbiased of course, and let the readers provide the feedback??

I agree, SUVs have a purpose and as sam mentioned, the point is that many owners buy the vehicles for no other reason than to feel big and untouchable on the road.

The writer said that the people intimidating drivers are the ones that terrorise the street…

in fact, the whole article goes on to praise the GL’s abilities offroad.

if more SUV, sorry 4wd (poor australia has become americanised now) drivers were like you gerhard, the roads would be so much better. no more fools in 4wds who try and weave through traffic and cut me off in theyre un-environmentally, deadly, ugly pieces of pig iron. just the way 4wd vehicles were intended

It’s good to see that your journalism standards are about reporting on cars rather than joining the emotive crap that comes from Scruby.

Or are your articles full of the kind of mindless rubbish that comes from regular , non-automotive journalists.

Just to prove your assertion wrong, I purchase my 4WD so I could regularly go to the Vic high country camping, and go to Cape York on the OTL.

You are aware of the scientific basis for proving or disproving a theory, I assume, and that is that a theory is disproven when ONE example disproves it.

So It would be appreciated if you could re-write the latest article on the Mercedes as it contains untruths.
