Anyone else read the latest write up on the new M3 in Motor ? I felt really disappointed with the cars new feel he gave. It seems to be a mini M5 not the raw M3 that I love . Is he right in thinking it is 2 steps foreward for BMW but 1 step back ?

actually its 12 months, and its not that easy. you have to have proper identification of you living there and then coming here for permanent residency, unless you get your friends to do that, so hopefully theyre the willing type! i think its also like the car cant be sold for 6 months or something, i dont know exactly, your best off talking to a customs broker who can give you professional advice.

i kno this because my dads best mate wanted to import a jag over to here as they are dirt cheap in uk, by the time he went to all the hassle of bringing it down under it came out about square of what one cost here. it sucks i know!

new zealand are lucky because they have very lenient import laws, hence why they have a huge car scene for such a small country.

but like u said if theres a will theres a way, and when ur getting 50% off on a prestige car im sure as hell theres alot of will!

import duties and taxes will kill you lisa, unless its a personal import. but its true, bimmers there are painfully cheap. a 99 e39 m5 here is pushing 60-70K depending on condition and k's. in the uk u can pick them up for cheapest 25K, at most 40K.

I don't think thats bad,to get the individual paint option mine has costs $7,000. Thats over rated!!!!!!I understand they do the colours in runs and to do one colour slows production down. They are getting up there though by the time you get a few options on them. Better to buy a good second hand one I think that the money has already fallen out of in 12 months. I have even thought of bringing one in ex UK , MUCH cheaper. You can get an E46 over there for the price of a good E36 here.
