Oh yeah, Clearly you don't remember cars from 90s or your standard is pretty high or it is just not your taste. For the money it is for (and of course comparing in the same price bracket 18K - 25K) according to me best looking cars are Mazda 3 (previous generation), Honda Civic, Holden Cruze, Hyundai i30 & i30cw and Ford Fiesta.

According to me, they are better looking than so high and mighty VW Golf (Now this the car which looks like the one from late 90's or early 2000's), New Mazda 3, Ford focus, Honda Jazz, Toyota Corolla etc

That being said it a matter of personal taste

It Depends really. If you want to buy i30, civic sized cars and willing to spend around 30K, I will agree to look out for Golf perhaps. i am yet to find a car dealer selling 2010 Golf at 25K. Most of them ask nearly 28-29K. Sometimes, it is matter of point where you can't spend even a single dollar more. i30 as great the car and package is - is not in the same price bracket as Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Mazda 3, Ford Focus or VW Golf. Koreans know quite well how their brand is percieved. But they are priced quite high than its previous incarnations. There is reason for this. No company is stupid enough to undercut their profit so much so as to go bankrupt. and it sort of reflects their belief in their product.

Now take my case, My target was $25000. I am getting SX manual i30cw with metallic paint + Headlight protector + weather shields + Protector pack + reverse parking sensor + Window Tint + Paint Protection for that much money. I have a growing family. For me it represented overall better value.

Dear Tack, It is far ahead of Average standard car. I have driven Hyundais before. While I wasn't exactly great fan of their styling but they were quite OK and reliable. Why everyone is liking this car so much because The styling is comparable to best (among the similar price bracket of course) and quality and features are better at lower price. It is a good value for money proposition for those who aren't so obsessed with brand names, haven't got so much money to spare and still want world-class features. Ultimately, it is matter of choice. and no it styling isn't similar to MAZDA 323 at all. and by the way same way you hate its external styling, in the same manner I hate New Mazda 3 styling. I find it Butt-ugly with stupid grin plastered on its face. I actually liked the previous generation Mazda 3 styling so much that I still think that it was and is the best in its class.

No Focus isn't a better car. Hell Fiesta is better than Focus. That is your perception which is a matter of subjective taste and opinion. Same can be said about me as well though.

Wagons, whether it be i30cw, or Mazda6 wagon or Commodore sportwagon (all without a serious competitor in their segment -- small, medium and large passengers), generally do not have an as pretty appearance as a Sedans or a SUV. I reckon if you want space and look good, you will likely go SUV.

I don't know how it can get 5 wheel score on 'How does it Look'.
It look like a car build at 90",it's a quite ugly car.
