Jaguar teases all-new 2010 XJ
April 21, 2009 by George Skentzos
Jaguar has released the first of what are sure to be many official teaser images of its highly anticipated all-new XJ sedan.
To coincide with the Shanghai motor show, Jaguar Cars Managing Director, Mike O’Driscoll, has confirmed that the new generation XJ will be revealed on July 9 in London and will go on sale at the end of 2009.
This first top-down teaser image reveals surprisingly little about the car’s design, although it does showcase the new panoramic glass roof.
The new model will pioneer Jaguar’s next-generation aerospace-inspired aluminium body architecture and will include the choice of either standard or long wheelbase models.
All of Jaguar’s new ultra-efficient Gen III petrol and diesel engines will be available in the new XJ, including the already acclaimed V6 diesel and 380kW supercharged V8.
Enthusiasts can follow the XJ’s staggered reveal online at the new dedicated web portal; otherwise all will be revealed come July 9 as the car becomes available to order for delivery by early 2010.

This is shaping up to be a good one. Can’t wait to see it. It looks like the people who don’t like the XF’s headlights aren’t going to have to worry. Just as long as it’s low, sleek and tapers at the back.
XJ is one of my favourite cars, however, i can already see the D-Pillart in this teaser, and dont like it… its missing the body colour, its continual glass with the chrome window lining separating the waisteline from the roof!
however, im sure ill get over it because its sure to be an absolutely beautiful car…
Hey another XF!! Least they are moving away from the retro thing that has clearly done its time. Not getting excited quite yet.
Something crazy is going to happen with those headlights :)
I havent seen so much excitement about a new model for a long time. This is going to be extra special, I think. They are also doing an XE 2 seater, supposed to be a direct competitor to the 911.
Can’t wait to see it it’s so nice from the top.But i only got to watch 8 seconds of the movie.
