2015 Mercedes-Benz B-Class spy photos
The popular Mercedes-Benz B-Class is gearing up for a minor facelift, as these photos from CarAdvice's European spy photographers show.
We can see a small change to the tail-lights and a modified bumper with integrated exhaust pipes. There's no word on when the facelift will be officially revealed, but we suspect it may debut at October's Paris motor show ahead of an Australian arrival early in 2015.
The current-generation Mercedes-Benz B-Class launched in Australia in 2012 and last year found 3248 local buyers, with the B200 and B200 diesel variants proving the most popular.
Sales are currently down about 45 per cent on last year's figures, due largely to the popularity of the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class, CLA-Class and GLA-Class models, though the B-Class continues to be an practical choice for inner-city commuters in need of a spacious SUV-like interior with the latest safety technology.
The facelift gives Mercedes-Benz Australia the opportunity to bring a 4Matic all-wheel-drive B-Class to our market, as it did with the CLA250 Sport, which sits on the same platform. An all-wheel-drive version would give the Mercedes more steam to compete with luxury SUVs positioned above the GLA-Class.
