Lamborghini Reventon Spyder revealed
April 16, 2009 by Matt Brogan
Lamborghini has given the green-light to an “extremely limited” production run of Reventon Spyders.
The Spyder will be based on the LP670-4 SuperVeloce but will share the same aggressive form as the stealth-fighter Reventon hardtop.
Powered by the same 6.5-litre V12 as found in the LP670-4 SuperVeloce, the Reventon Spyder will develop 500kW to be delivered via an upgraded all-wheel-drive system.
However, don’t reach for your cheque book just yet, with only nine examples ever expected to see the light of day, the Reventon Spyder has a rather hefty price tag of – wait for it – A$2.2 million.
Unfortunately however, even if you can afford the price tag, rumour has it that all of the nine cars are already spoken for!
The Lamborghini Reventon Spyder is expected to make its show debut in September at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.

What’s the point? As we all know, the coupe was snapped up very quickly and then about two months ago, seven out of twenty of the were for sale at a used car dealer somewhere in either Europe, America or the Middle East. Kind of makes them a bit less special. Still looks fantastic though.
When this thing gets a facelift, will it be called the Lamborghini ‘Revolting’?
No it won’t, it’s pronounced Rebenton.
This is one of the only couple of spyders I’d like to own. Very hot!
OK Alex, I’ll settle for ‘Rebolting’.
Looks too over done.I suppose with 50,000 different model variants they need it to be different.
So it’s electric now is it? :)
looks like the batmobile
douubtt veryvery much that one of the owners will be an aussie
Looks like it’s made of lego..
No classic styling here.
Looks like a Transformer.
I actually quite like how angular and industrial it looks.
Thats a AWESOME, MEAN lookin Car… if you dont like it… either too old, or drive a toyota.. or both.. Lol!!!
That’s exactly what a supercar should look like.
