2015 Audi RS7 Sportback facelift revealed
The Audi RS7 Sportback has been sharpened up with a new look.
The Audi RS7 Sportback - which only went on sale in Australia in February this year - sees a number of cosmetic changes similar to the new-look A7 line-up that was uncovered last week.
Styling changes include new headlights - now the high-tech LED Matrix assemblies seen on the A8 - a new shape to its single-frame grille, revised air intakes on the front bumper, and revised tail-light inlays.
No mechanical changes have been made to the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 sports sedan's engine, with 412kW of power (at 5700-6600rpm) and 700Nm of torque (from 1750-5500rpm). Power is sent to all four wheels via a standard eight-speed automatic gearbox. However, fuel use for the engine which features cylinder deactivation appears to have been improved to 9.5 litres per 100km on the European cycle. In Australia, its claim is 9.8L/100km.
The interior of the RS7 Sportback sees minor amendments, including a revised instrument cluster, changed air vent controls, tweaked gearshift paddles, and a new Quattro emblem on the instrument panel. The media system has seen an upgrade to its platform and graphics.
New paint finishes are available, including Audi's new RS halo colour Sepang Blue, alongside Floret Silver, Glacier White and Mythos Black.
CarAdvice has contacted Audi Australia for launch timing for the updated RS7 Sportback. It's expected to go on sale by the middle of 2015, with pricing unlikely to stray too far from the current $238,500 list price.
