Seat Ibiza Cupster concept celebrates 30 years of small cars for the Spanish brand

The Seat Ibiza Cupster concept is a one-off, chop-top two-seater set to debut at the 2014 Wörthersee GTI Treffen show at the end of the month.

The open-top Seat small car celebrates 30 years of the Ibiza nameplate, with the heavily stylised concept model featuring a tinted low-slung, steeply raked windscreen and side windows that appear to cut back towards the rear of the car and follow the swage-line that runs from the headlights towards the rear wheels.

The rear sees a pair of prominent buttresses behind the seats, reminiscent of those seen on the axed Renault Wind, a single central exhaust tip, a boot-mounted spoiler and Cupster badging.

Little in the way of detail is known about the Cupster, but it is rumoured to be powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 132kW of power.

The Seat Cupster will be revealed alongside the new Audi A3 Clubsport Quattro concept, and a chop-top version of the Skoda Citigo. Volkswagen is also expected to debut a new concept car at the show, but there's no information yet as to what that car may be.
