2008 Peugeot 308

May 25, 2007 by Alborz Fallah

Pictures of the new Peugeot 308 have been floating around the internet the last few days and from what can see, the 308 is another work of art from Peugeot.

The 308 hatchback will compete in the mid-sized segment replacing the 307. Rumours from around the world suggest the car will be a little longer, yet a little shorter than the 307 and there is a possibility of a two door variant – a first for the mid sized range from Peugeot.

In Europe the base model 308 will be powered by a 1.6-litre engine (found in the new Peugeot 207), with around 90kW of power. The model above will be powered by the same engine, albeit turbocharged, (112kW). There is also talk of a 125kW 2.2L turbodiesel variant to sit at the top.

You are joking Alborz when you say “Work of art” It looks like a South American hornbill that has been flatened by a steam roller! Horrid looking car …

“the car will be a little longer, yet a little shorter than the 307″ – no wonder my username is what it is !!!

    Nissan Munaro tailights ?

I dunno about a “work of art”. Some aspects just look contrived and cartoon like !

I have seen the real peugeot 308
in Marseille, they where making a film and a lot of
guards were there but I could take some Spy Shots from it, it is really nice /°

  8. Paul Neri says:

Groan! Why has Peugeot got a fixation with the “groper look”? It rivals BMW’s Bangle look for jarring lines!

I own an original pug 307 and I’m still struck by the sheer sexiness of it lines!

And it doesn’t look like half its bonnet is missing either!

  9. The Axe says:

It certainly won’t be mistaken for anything else!

    I like it.
