The pic of the Raptor ute I saw was silver.

The red AU coup’e has a 4.6L Quad cam V8!!! I didn’t know that was called a Winsor.

Howard built – who owns Rock Solid Engineering in Broken Hill [and is a top bloke] built:
A Cherry Ripe XA Falcon Sedan called Rock Solid 1..
He then modified it painted it Blue called it Rock 2.. He Then built a 64 Fairlane Compact “Rock 3″
Then the Pioneer XA Coupe with the awesome graphics Rock 4.

Rock 2-3-4 won Street Machine of the Year Awards.
I still see Rock 3 on the Car Show Scene and I believe
he recently sold the Pioneer Coupe for approx $400k

I remember seeing the Supercharged AU coup’e and the Raptor ute in Wheels mag, the Coup’e was red and the Raptor was silver.

but yes it was close to sahara gold.

ingrediants….

2L lightning strike
2L tiger gold
1 extra handfull of metalic

stir well and apply.

it was like a very week gold colour.
yep BM you must be thinking of another one.

The AU coupe looked more like a metallic 2-pack Sahara gold [an old XB colour]

The Hillier boys are true Ford Followers.. as is Their EL Ford Ute was in a deep Ford Burgundy Colour and their XP Coupe was in a nice Ford Pastel Green.. all works of art.

Then of course their Howard Astills creations [Rock Solid]
