Geez – why does everyone get worked up in these forum comments.

Anyone would think we are talking about Religion or Politics.

It’s car. I say in relation to cars – whatever floats your boat……….but stop bagging each other out. Maybe we could just start a Holden vs Ford debate – now wouldn’t that be productive?

I know you are passionate about your Skoda but MS does have a valid point….Also an Octavia being 20 million times better than a Golf…They share a lot of the VAG DNA underpinnings, drivelines etc how much difference could there be?

If you read the post dumba$$ you will notice someone asked me what i was interested in buying. I am looking at all euro options – Pug 308, skoda diesel, VW diesel (this was originally my first choice)

Drove the skoda, nice ride…….cant handle how fuddy duddy it looks though – like a flashback to the original Hyundai Sonata – can almost smell cardigans inside the cabin, sorry to hurt your sensitive feelings Jake 02. Toughen up.

Besides, the Octavia is 20 million times better than a Golf…

I was originally interested in a Gen VI Diesel Golf – but the fuel consumption figures of both petrol models are only slightly higher then the Diesel, as well they are cheaper up front. It is only me who will be in the car, so the torque from the petrol is more then sufficient. I have driven a 118kw golf and was impressed by the drivability. I will await further evidence of build quality from the guys on the Golf VI thread, and as you also point out, will wait till the model ages a little, say a year, to get some bargaining power. Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn’t it…When I look back and think how much I was looking forward to taking delivery of my 1st and 2nd new Golf.

Just curious which model are you considering?

Observer, dude, who cares who has the same opinion as you, from your agressive outbourst as illustrated above, who would really want to have the same opinion as you. That was NOT my point.

Fact: you answered a question (quite aggressively I might add) focussed at Renaldo’s kiddy like remark, as if it was asked of you. Looks a bit sus mate, if i am wrong I apologise.

However, on your comment towards another postee on the Golf VI first steer for their posts on the car….. out of line mate. As you yourself mention above, this is a post site, if you dont want to read something then dont. Last thing anyone needs on here is childish and aggressive outbursts (like above).

Regards to me, i am new here – no need for a second identity, just a guy looking for a new car. I found this site a few weeks ago via google and really like it. Had japanese up to now, and looking for something european, at least to have a closer look at them.

By the way, thanks for your info on your three golf purchases. I will be holding off until the newmodel gets some cred.

Mookey Stik, Well if you say so then it must be right?…..Maybe Millatime, Simonsez, Big Dog & Project-L are other alias’s just becuase they share a similar opinion.

Begs the question though perhaps you have two identities given that I’ve never seen your post before. Go to the latest VW golf post and I’ll give you a history of my 3 VW Golf purchases.
