The 2014 Mini Cooper will be just as customisable as its predecessor, with the British brand unveiling a range of quirky accoutrements for the new-generation retro hatch.

The new-generation Mini Cooper arrives on sale early next month, and is set to be offered with a range of optional goodies including four new “design lines”. The design lines include four options: Vivid Green (with lime green on a black background); Speedwell Blue (with a blue-backed tartan trim); John Cooper Works Pro (with a chequered flag theme); and Essential Black (a diagonal diamond pattern).

The lines each include stylised items for the inside and outside of the car, including roof and side graphics, exterior and interior mirror caps, door sill cover strips, floor mats, sun visors, and a protective cover for the rear seat (handy for pet owners).

Outside of the design lines there are new options, including the Big Bang mirror caps (below), Mini Wellington gumboots, wheel centre caps to match the body colour of the car, a funky car cover (top) and a range of roof rack systems including a surfboard, bicycle and luggage pod extensions.

Mini Australia said the vast majority of the accessories will be available for local buyers almost immediately after the new car is launched here, though the roof rack systems will only be available on cars built with roof rails from the factory.
