Am planning to buy a used 2003 model but wondering if i would be shooting myself in the foot as new range rovers have a way of making the older ones obsolete very fast.

Michael Smith, surpised you don’t have this engine in the USA given we have had it here in Australia for a couple of years in the Vogue & Sport. It works very effectively albeit slight lag on take off. I have been led to believe this has been eliminated in the new V6 turbo diesel.

My Opinion on the model in question: Beautiful interior as always, exterior beginning to date. I am waiting for 2 years to trade my vogue on the all new Aluminium L405 model.

The new interior and the techonology is good, but not so sure about the styling, it is becoming too bling bling. I prefer the styling of the original 3rd generation Range Rover designed under BMW’s ownership, looks cleaner and more elegant.
