2010 Range Rover Vogue revealed
April 8, 2009 by George Skentzos
Land Rover has unveiled its new generation off-road line-up today, culminating with its luxury flagship Range Rover Vogue model.
Powerful new engines, revolutionary interior technologies and enhanced driving dynamics reinforce the position of the 2010 Range Rover Vogue as Land Rover’s most complete all-terrain luxury vehicle.
Under the bonnet, buyers will have the choice between a new 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine or a high performance supercharged version plus the acclaimed 3.6-litre TDV8 unit.
Both of the new direct injection petrol engines were designed from the outset to deliver class-leading fuel economy and improved low-end torque.
These fuel-saving measures have been achieved with the help of new e-Terrain Technologies which optimise efficiency whilst maintaining off-road drivability.
“The Range Rover Vogue remains the consummate luxury 4×4. Its combination of unrivalled all-terrain performance with the ultimate in comfort and refinement, remains a clear industry benchmark,” says Phil Popham, Land Rover managing director.
The new Range Rover Vogue is also the first to feature innovative ‘dual view’ infotainment touch screen technology which allows the driver and passenger to view different images simultaneously.
This allows the passenger to enjoy a movie on the 31-centimetre TFT screen while the driver receives navigation instructions or vehicle information.
“The new display technology used by the Range Rover Vogue 10MY is a major advance. It gives us tremendous flexibility in presenting information, so that the driver gets precisely the data they require, in all driving conditions. Meanwhile, the passenger can be relaxing with a movie!” explains Nick Rogers, Chief Engineer, New Vehicle Architecture.
Unlike the Range Rover Sport, the Vogue has naturally been engineered for comfort, incorporating Adaptive Dynamics technology to further improve the ride quality while seamlessly adapting to off-road situations at the touch of a button with Terrain Response and Stability Control systems.
To complete the package, the Range Rover Vogue 10MY benefits from a series of enhanced active safety aids including Adaptive Cruise Control, Emergency Brake Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Automatic High Beam Assist (AHBA) and a surround camera system.
The 2010 Range Rover Vogue will go on sale in Australia by late 2009 with pricing, specifications and model line-up still to be confirmed.

How is this car not dating? It looks as good now as it did when it came out all those years ago. The drive doesn’t date either. I’ll definitely be buying one to replace my current Vogue. I’m not sure about the colour that they’ve got in the pictures, I think I’ll stick to black or navy blue. Still one of the best interiors in the business too and one of the best built cars available.
It’s the best SUV in the world. One of the best both on and off road and the best at doing both without compromise.
I wish you could get one without the whole entertainment DVD system though. I don’t want to update my car in three years so I can get a bluray player and HD.
Oh this is getting out of hand! I was next to one of these the other day and all i could say was ” Expensive barge” no need for em….Ugly, ugly, ugly
love it, still is and always will be on my top3 lit of favourite cars!!!
nice update, though the grill shouldnt be as ‘integrated’ to the headlights.. still awesome! :)
I am yet to meet an owner of this brand who would buy one again. Sadly for Range Rover, such people are far and few between…
^^ That’s funny, because everyone I know who has one is on their 2nd, 3rd, 5th etc.
we obviously know different people…at least 6 degrees of separation. :-)
Great news, improving on a already great product. This has brought the Range Rover upto date with technology and will put it ahead of the pack.
Bret – I am with you, many customer who come through our dealership have had numerous Range Rovers and would not buy anything else.
Cheers
Hard to top the last one but they have done it! In a big way. The next one will be seriously expensive but will blow your mind.
The new interior and the techonology is good, but not so sure about the styling, it is becoming too bling bling. I prefer the styling of the original 3rd generation Range Rover designed under BMW’s ownership, looks cleaner and more elegant.
I noticed Boards of Canada is playing in that 6th photo. Nice touch.
This is and always will be my fave luxo barge. It has street cred and commands respect. Id get one if i could afford one with its fuel bill.
Best 4×4xfar.
i just hope the TDV8 will be released in USA
Michael Smith, surpised you don’t have this engine in the USA given we have had it here in Australia for a couple of years in the Vogue & Sport. It works very effectively albeit slight lag on take off. I have been led to believe this has been eliminated in the new V6 turbo diesel.
My Opinion on the model in question: Beautiful interior as always, exterior beginning to date. I am waiting for 2 years to trade my vogue on the all new Aluminium L405 model.
we need more details and prices
Im Gonna Buy It In 2030 :D
I’m not an SUV type of guy but Ive always admired the road presence Range Rovers have always possessed.
