Can anyone tell me where I find a listing of the manual gear ratios and final drive ratios used in the current 6 speed manual Golfs.
I’m test driving one of these new GT ‘s tomorrow, and drove an Alfa 147 JTD today. First gear in Alfa a little low, and big gaps between 2nd and 3rd but the rest very “TALL”,with 4th 5th and 6th ALL

Aside from the Lancia Delta S4, there’s also the comparitively more recent Nissan March.

But these cars are different sizes, the colt is more like the polo size. Its about 300mm shorter and 100mm thinner than the golf. I think a better comparison would have been the new Euro Corsa VXR (Which we’ll never see) or Fiesta XR4.

But given the colts boring appeal in its family guise the Ralliart version is stunning. Small cars can be sport too!

Would be interesting how this competes with the Ralliart Colt. I like the design on both cars, the Colt is aout 0.5 seconds faster, is more fuel efficient, and has sweet Recaro seats, nice headunit, and some Advan rubber as well as the ATC, and ASC systems, so it has awesome handling characteristics for cornering. The GT Golf though, a luxury like hothatch, more luxurious interior, and who wouldn’t want the DSG system? Is about 4k more than the Colt. A lot of great competition on the hothatch market though.

Paul has a good point about serviving. Just having a cramped engine bay is annoying, and then you are setback by a supercharger and a turbocharger. Still love the car though and it would be worth it.

Other than that its a copy of Lancia Delta S4, that had turbo& SC combo, but its Italian, so was made for out and out brutal performance!

awesome, but i tihnk my heart still lies with the gti. love the little boost guage too!
