Whenever Porsche upgrade a model I’m always left with the impression they could have done more. Perhaps one of the advantages Porsche owners experience is the fact that their car won’t be properly superseded for a good decade. Also, can someone tell me if 911’s are fitted with diffusers or is that out of the question in a rear-engined car? I would have thought a well designed diffuser would be fairly critical on a car built for racing.

Its a boxer 6 not a V6.
Amazing engineering on the engine at least, styling not so much…

Wombat, Richo is right,and on top of that Porsche have kept with a similar design for years and will contiue to do so.

Its easily identified and the owners love the fact it never dates their cars much.

Wombat – well your blind then! 911’s, pretty much every single one of them since the very first one was introduced, has looked absolutely sensational!

Sadly, you can’t teach good taste to everyone… The GTR is a phenominal car, but the design is hardly what you would call classical…

Bavarian Missile I couldn´t desagree more.I know that the GTR
is not a looker but Porche design team has no clue on how to restyle a car.The 911 is basically a beetle on steroid and a big wing.

I agree with you Topdog!
Considering high performance cars are nearly all turbo charged this Porsche is truely an amazing feat.
Porsche is certainly teaching a lesson to Audi about engines.
I don’t have anything against turbo charged cars but when a company’s engine line-up consists of 90% force induction I tend lose respect for their engine engineering capabilities.

The GT-R is a special car but sorry aint as pretty as this,its obviously more expensive but hey it is a Porsche and a real one at that ! Farking Awesome !
