2014 Audi TT – first look

The new Audi TT will be revealed in full early next week, but a first proper look of the third-generation coupe is possible thanks to the latest teaser from the German brand.

Audi has followed up sketches with a darkened image of the 2014 TT, which CarAdvice has lightened with photo manipulation technology to confirm the latest sporty two-door will be an evolutionary change.

The sharper-looking rear end is expected to be matched at the front. The side glass looks even shallower than on that of the outgoing model, and cuts off more dramatically to create a wider rear pillar where it meets the rear bodywork.

The highest character line on the flanks also no longer runs directly into the tail-lights, based on the image.

Audi's third TT will again have partial ties to the Golf, sitting on the Volkswagen Group MQB platform. That should mean some weight loss for the sports car that is anticipated to remain at about 4.2 metres in length.

CarAdvice will bring full details and images of the new Audi TT when it's officially launched on the eve of the 2014 Geneva motor show early next week.
