Skoda Superb Outdoor unveiled
It's no high-riding SUV, but the new Skoda Superb Outdoor certainly looks like it would like to play rough.
The new Superb Outdoor variant has been revealed, boasting off-road styling cues such as underbody bash-plates, fog-lights, grey plastic mouldings on the bumpers and wheel arches, roof-rails and 18-inch alloy wheels. Other items available include hill-hold assistant, tyre pressure monitoring, headlight washers and tinted glass. An Outdoor Plus model adds leather trim, satellite navigation and digital radio.
The pack is available in the UK on the facelifted Skoda Superb range and includes four-wheel drive with a choice of two 2.0-litre turbo diesel engines. The updated Superb is due to launch in Australia around the middle of the year.
Volkswagen Group Australia communications general manager Karl Gehling told CarAdvice the Superb Outdoor was "certainly under consideration" to be added to the local line-up.
