Fast & Furious – almost set to roll

April 16, is when you can catch the fourth instalment of the hugely successful movie franchise entitled Fast & Furious in Australia.

It’s been eight long years since the release of the original movie, The Fast and the Furious which boosted the relatively unknown actors, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker into semi-stardom.

The US$30 million movie went on to gross a massive US$207 million at the worldwide box office and that was up against Jurassic Park 3 and The Mummy Returns.

Not bad for a movie inspired by a Vibe magazine article about underground street racing in Los Angeles.

Although 2 Fast 2 Furious banked more than its predecessor, grossing over US$237 million, the third film The Fast and the Furious – Tokyo Drift was a let down as far as box office receipts went, earning just US $158 million.

With all four stars from the original film back together on screen, Fast & Furious should be a sure fire hit and frankly, we can’t wait to see the cars in action, with that digital sound dialled up to max volume.

Best of all, the conclusion of new film is said to imply that a fifth instalment is planned for Europe but in true Vin Diesel style the word is: “You know my process is script first”.

    should be a good laugh,
be fun to spot all the bits which are physically possible, as i doubt there will be a plot to judge :p

  2. ChopstaR87 says:

I cant wait for this movie.. loved the first 2 movies, 3rd was ok…. i am just so happy that they are doing the muscle car thing this time!!!

  3. B-Man says:

One of the worst series of movies ever to be released. I’ll be giving this a wide berth.

  4. Anthony says:

You’re too harsh B-Man, enjoy the ride!

  5. Car Tuning says:

i think it’s going to have a lot of action and incredible modified cars. I would make a movie only describing the cars from Fast & Furios

  6. Pious says:

I really liked the third one, not so much first or second. I think that makes me strange(er)

  7. Martin says:

    I am with B-Man.

  8. Luke says:

I’m with you B-Man and also Anthony. They are terribly corny and cliche films but for the cars and the girls you can guarantee I’m gonna get something out of this new one. Good work Hollywood for again reducing our IQ.

  9. Horse says:

    Cgi stunts = pathetic

  10. Joober@Work says:

Will be a fun movie, havent seen a car movie for a while now and is due… Plot will suck but hey thats not what u watch these moveies for…. Likewise a Norris, Segal movie, playboy….

  11. The Salesman says:

True car movies are like XXX rated films. Who cares about the acting or the story line? It about the ACTION!!!!!!. As long as there is some awesome driving I will watch it again and again, and then one more time for good luck.

  12. Bavarian Missile (.)(.) says:

hahaha Salesman, quote “As long as there is some awesome driving ”

Oh yeah , even better if both had Vin in them doing it…

But I do understand what your saying, look at Aussie cult car films, terrible acting yet we drag them out every few years to quote some good one liners and pick on the cars true specs.

  13. Elitist says:

I’ve noticed alot of Hollywood movies now are “reboots’…

  14. AAA says:

Bad series of movies. Most of the action scenes are CG’s (computer graphics) ….. do some real racing scenes pls.
