What ever happen to the designers of the old civics, preludes, integra. They still look sharp today.
What happen to their creativity and their cohesive design forms.

Why dont they keep that essential characteristic but continue evolving the design such as MERCs and BMW have done instead of ditching it and adopting a hot pot of different designs (derivative).

I am a honda fan, but these days their engineering and design creative are not up to their golden period. So unfortunate.

For some reason, the carmakers have been looking at the BMW 5-series for design inspiration. VW's new Passat looks like the BMW as well.

My opinions could change if I see it in person, but right now I'm not impressed.

I agree JB,
it should look better when it is completely unveiled. It is good to see the curves and line are constant throughout the design. From the back the Camry's boot looks like a jigsaw puzzle piece with the random disjointed curves.

It looks a lot like BMW 5 series (except the back - which reminded me of Hyundai Sonata).

This is definitely not the new Accord Euro as the front looks very similar to the Honda Accord coupe (US version) which was on display at a recent motor show.

I wouldn't call it boring. Hondas usually look better in life than in "spy" shots. As pointed by Lazybones, lets hope the engine is a cracker!

I personally think this car looks mory classy than new Camry. The Camry has too many distracting curves and lines.

Looks like the Accord designers were looking at the current BMW 5 series a little too hard with this design!

Hopefully this is the US "wide body" version and not the Euro version.

"What a borring uninspiring car", yup i'd have to say it looks like a boring car made by bored people from planet bored! It makes the camry look exciting.

What will be interesting will be the engine, Honda seem to be turning up the heat on Toyota. The new CRV has beaten the new RAV4 in most reviews, So how will this fair against the new Camry?. But i'm surprised Honda don't already have a Dual VVT engine.
