Audi A7 Sportback : fresh images of facelifted ‘four-door coupe’
Fresh spy shots of the facelifted Audi A7 Sportback have captured the front of the updated large luxury 'four-door coupe' for the first time.
The high-resolution images of a camouflaged black A7 Sportback undergoing winter testing in Europe come roughly two months after CarAdvice’s spy photographers first snapped low-res shots of the rear of a similar prototype.
The new images confirm the updated Audi A7 Sportback will get slimmer headlights angled towards (rather than away from) the grille at their inner edges.
The new headlight assemblies will feature a new daytime running lights pattern and inherit the Matrix LED lighting system from the updated Audi A8 and S8 limousines.
The subtly revised grille features broader edges nearest the headlights, while the shape of the bumper and lower intakes have also been mildly redesigned.
As November’s spy shots revealed, the rear of the facelifted A7 Sportback features restyled LED tail-light clusters, an LED brake light strip along the upper edge of the rear window, and a redesigned bumper with wider and narrower chrome-tipped integrated exhaust outlets.
The facelifted Audi A7 Sportback won’t reach local showrooms until 2015.
Audi Australia launched an updated version 12 months ago, and will add the high-performance RS7 Sportback variant to the line-up in February.
