CarAdvice is proud to announce the launch of our fourth-generation website.

The new site is our most ambitious project to date, with the development and design team starting from the ground up.

In our first release, which is what you’re experiencing today, we have simply aimed to bring forward the same functionality as the previous site.

Once the new design settles in we have an array of new features to add, which will be rolled out on a fortnightly basis. These will make finding previous articles much easier while also providing what we believe to be the best car comparison tool on the market.

As with all big changes, we know there are some of you that will not like it. It’s too different, we understand that. But we hope you give it a try and eventually come to see its benefits.

Our aim was to push the boundaries of what we thought was possible for a car website. Given that – let’s be honest – most look the same and are designed primarily for personal computers, with the mobile site offering limited functionality.

We wanted to bring images to life in our reviews and provide a much more logical search process in our showrooms.

The new CarAdvice website is entirely responsive, which means it shrinks or expands (even in real time – minus the advertising) to fit your screen resolution. Be it a large 30-inch screen at home or a smartphone, the new website will fit your resolution as best it can without compromising features.

It’s designed for the latest browsers, which means if you’re running Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 or older – and we know a few of you are – we need you to upgrade to version 9 or 10. Or better yet, switch to either Firefox or Google Chrome.

Please leave all comments below. Any bug reports (not including those on IE8) please leave below with a screenshot.

We know there are bugs, we are actively fixing them as you read this. We know there is more polishing to be done and we intend to do so as the days and weeks go by.

Use the comments section on this post to leave us all your feedback and rest assured we will be checking it very frequently and will update you with bug fixes.

For our regular readers, we would appreciate it if comments relating to the new site were kept here and not on car related articles.
