German manufacturers to skip Tokyo Motor Show
March 24, 2009 by Matt Brogan
With the current financial climate tightening belts the world over, two of Germany’s car manufacturers have reportedly indicated they are “unlikely” to participate in October’s Tokyo Motor Show.
According to German car magazine Automobilwoche, BMW and Mercedes-Benz are unlikely to participate with Volkswagen, Audi and componewnt maker Robert Bosch undecided.
The companies are trying to find a common position with no one company wanting to be placed in the unpopular position of being the first to announce their exit.

Merc has missed Melb a few times, so they are obviously “camera shy” these days. Perhaps the new 9.1% issue of capital to the oil rich is a real indicator of how badly MB is travelling.
VAG will attend, however, and continue its measured, unrelenting move to the top of the charts.
If the Germans miss Tokyo, how will Lexus know how to style their next generation models?
Could be a disaster! :-)
The car in the above photo looks like a design that was left lying around after the SPlit between Daimler Chrysler.. I think that this was intended to be the next Sebring not the next E-Class or is that “Eccy” Class?
Whatever it is Wheelnut,it’s hidious,vomet.
It’s the next IS250…..
