the gt never dies! its gone, but i really do wish they brought it back. i think its one of best supercars ever made. clarkson even bought one, and thereafter have a host of things go wrong with it.

Genaddi design based in the states have made a convertible version that is lower has even more power. brilliant piece of engineering. this is what performance motoring is all about

Ahhh, that sucks. The GT is gone! It’ll be back oneday. It makes sense though because the company doesn’t want to go bankrupt so they put it on hold.

Sorry Damo I didn’t know they only called it the Ford GT? I assumed I suppose it was still the GT40.

Any way they stopped making the Ford GT end of last year.

They did discontinue the GT40 a fair while ago Lisa. They replaced it with the Ford GT which is what Sam was referring to. That’s a fairly common mistake which I once made a few years back myself. I remember a mistake some tosser made when he saw a GT40 poster of mine. He said, “Its only for looks”. I laughed in his face and responded with, “No, because they didn’t win Lemans with this car”. Should have seen the guys face, so pissed off.

I thought Sam they stopped making GT 40 again if thats what your saying on the the GT FORD.

Much better car though,mainly because most of it is designed or manufactured in the UK or Europe.I think the US put it together in the end. Just like the American Anthem,also written by a Brittish. Not much the yanks make thats any good .Planes ???

So landed in Australia converted the Vet is bloody expensive. And has an interior that out of Woolies .

super car price? theyre $70,000 USD ( about 84K AUD) dollars when the nearest competitor is a 911 turbo which is $330,000. Even though the porsche is the superior car when you look past the straight line performance and factor in handling and well, pretty much everything else, the corvette is an AMAZING car for the price.

although the leaf springs would seriously put me off. and theres something about it i dont know what it is that makes me think that past 150,000 KM mileage it would start to fall apart. looks very sexy, just not quality

Get the DVD by Jeremy Clarkson.The Good The Bad & The Ugly.

He does a test in USA in the Vet.Does come up well on the track but not on the road.

Not impressed,for a car at a super car price there is plenty more I would have.

I rode in a Corvette years ago and yes, it moved along, but what surprised me most was how comfortable the car was. I’m guessing the new model is just as comfortable but goes like stink too.

What price are they in the US? Better not tell me, I’ll cry! What we have to pay for decent autos in this country is a joke. The US folks have it made, even punters can afford a corvette!

Can someone tel me how much this Govt takes out of an imported car?

its had the 7 litre LS7 in it with 370KW since 2005?

those desperate enough for a RHD corvette can get one converted at performax in gympie (formerely corvette queensland). amazing cars for the price

id love to see a ford GT downunder too!
