Salesman – Of course it should make a difference, harder your foot goes down the more energy you use stored in the batteries. Would have thought a clever chap like yourself would ahve known that.

Did nobody else see the news story about Top Gear being cheeky and getting in trouble? The Tesla didn’t actually run out of power on Top gear, it still had 20% battery power. It was all a simulation showing what in Clarkson’s mind will happen if you buy an electric car. They probably did it because it was whooping the Lotus’s arse.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the Lotus but what Top Gear did was juvenile and unfair. And from the comments already left here, his plan worked.
The Tesla is a fantastic car but I think he’s simply pretending that he likes the concept of it so he doesn’t come under fire and then insulting it in his reviews because every single other review I have read or seen all say it’s wonderful and all got good range.

You also have to admire Tesla’s attitude to the whole EV thing. There are offering battery recycling as part of the package. I’m still trying to find out what the service intervals are for the Tesla.

When TG did a track test with the Telsa i think they got 150klms out of a full charge? I can not remember exactly but isn’t it supposed to be able to do 250klms ISH. Yes Jeremy was bashing it. Should that make a difference?
