2009 Range Rover Sport Stormer Kit

By George Skentzos |

Land Rover has introduced its aggressive Stormer Kit into the Australian market for all 2009 Range Rover Sport models.

The new styling package draws its inspiration from the 2004 Range Stormer Concept car, underlining the raw appeal of the Range Rover Sport line-up.

It is available as a limited edition, factory fitted option exclusively for the Range Rover Sport TDV8 or Supercharged models in a choice of three colours – Santorini Black, Alaska White and Stornoway Grey.

The Stormer Kit consists of new front and rear bumpers, an extended rear spoiler, body-coloured side cladding, chromed rectangular exhaust tips, a honeycomb radiator grill and front Park Distance Control (PDC).

“The Stormer Kit enhances the road presence of the Range Rover Sport through its stylish, yet aggressive stance. It ensures a head turning reaction from all who catch a glimpse.” Said Roger Jory, Land Rover Australia General Manager, “Whilst being the most visually stunning and athletically styled Range Rover Sport to date, it still retains the breadth of capability inherent in all Land Rovers.”

Only a limited number of Stormer Kits will go on sale in Australia, at a factory fitted cost of $9,990.

    Nice looking truck.

  • Iz

Very handsome, although starts to begs the question; why didnt they do this from day 1?

A TDV8 in gray for me, please =p

  • ??????

Nothing new and you have to fork out $10k what a joke

Not sure what your point of comment is ?????? No one is saying you have to buy the Stormer kit – so what’s the problem.

It’s the same scenario with all the major German tuners, no one says you need to go to TechArt and order a $12K exhaust system for your 911 Turbo, but people do, and its called exclusivity.

You’re probably the proud owner of a reliable Toyota Corolla, so I won’t even try to explain.

Trying too hard, even if its an official kit it still looks rice. Seems like when it comes to 4wds the luxury makers throw out their ‘understated’ mantra, even the germans look garish.

If anything it looks more stealth [particularly in Black]than riced

I mean there are a number of ricers that have such a variety of wings and things bolted on to them not to mention the obligatory canon exhaust the LED under-car lighting and the external gauge pods etc that sometimes its hard to tell what the car is underneath all that get up

Whereas at least you can tell that this is still a Rangie.
It looks solid whereas some ricers/drifters looks as if they are held together with duct tape

Have I read rigth or are you actually putting ricers in the same basket as drift cars??

  • Alex

Wheelnut, what do you mean MORE stealth? The standard RRS hardly slips by unnoticed. This thing is one of the least stealth cars money can buy.
I quite like it, but it is a little lacking in taste and that’s important to me so I think I’ll skip this one.
