Alex,
Your comment "Unless your boring and unimaginative and still think a German car will break in two or blow up every time you turn it on" is unsportsmanlike. You have your opinion and I've my opinion. There is no need to attack another person's opinion/experience.
Thank you and Good Night.

Dan, I know you predicted that they would come along and stir the pot. But why do you let yourself get sucked in and bite back all the time. It's totally pointless, absolutely nothing constructive comes out of it at all other than the same old insults and irrelevant discussions. It's mind-numbing to watch day in, day out. Particularly when the main reason most of us are on here at all is to get what the website is supposed to offer i.e. Car Advice, and to share stories and first-hand experiences with certain cars with each other. Of course there will always be times when disagree with others opinions, and we should be able to respectfully debate things with each other.

The full-on arguments have been happening on almost every article lately, and it's just destroying it.

QUOTE REALCARS:

"This article should be titled “Lexus RX finally catches up to lessser siblings”.

Toyota,I mean Lexus today announced that the RX series would receive the gearbox upgrades already rolled out across Aurion and Kluger several years ago…… Ha Ha Ha.

Toyota,I mean Lexus spokesman(different hat)says it’s only right considering they already share the same engines and free car washes and rolling out the red carpet to a chorus of trumpets only works for so long before customers realise the plebs are getting a better deal….LOL"

Yep Realcars the muppet to stir everything up again with his stupid comments which will always start someone. The his buddy Wheelnut comes along and continues. Absoluetely pathetic.

And who is this Axel retard? This place has become a joke LOL

Cupid. There are a lot more countries in Europe than just UK, where rego is based on the size of the engine. Enough said.

HAL, in the beginning I said it will probably be ruined by the usual suspects. And of course here comes Wheelnut and Realcars to fulfill the prophecy.

Right, well it's good to see that this thread didn't turn into the usual trail of rubbish then, isn't it?

Dan & Wheelnut - do you ever actually go back over in the cold light of day to read some of the childish nonsense you two say to each other? It's bloody pathetic, like to school children fighting over a sandpit.

There is absolutely no point in anyone else using the blog feature on this website when this crap is continually going on. Why don't you 2 swap email addresses and take your arguments off-line? Everyone on here is fed up to the eyeballs with watching every article descend into this garbage.

Well, I have driven all three models and I can say with confidence that none of them were equal to the X5 that was around at the same time. And the first one was completely useless. They do have good build quality but that is cancelled out by the fact that the interiors are ugly. I don't care for the exterior either but that's personal preference.
Why wouldn't you buy the Mercedes or BMW? They handle better, they don't exactly have bad build quality, they offer diesels, they are also very reliable, they are very much refined and they are more practical. There is no reason to buy a Lexus RX. Unless your boring and unimaginative and still think a German car will break in two or blow up every time you turn it on.

Those of you who comment without having driven Lexus RX should go and test drive one. BHP/torque numbers may be similar to Toyotas but there is alot of refinement put into the Lexus. You won't realise this until you feel the refinement and build quality of the Lexus. I own one and I'll tell you it is bloody reliable and well built. People in Lexus can certainly teach guys in Volvo, Ford a thing or two on how to build a good car/SUV.

I love my Lexus RX and will likely replace it with another RX when the time comes.
