2010 Kia Sportage spied winter testing

March 18, 2009 by George Skentzos

Please note we are still trying to determine if this is a Kia or a SsangYong which we spotted a few days ago in Australia.

2010 Kia Sportage spied winter testingThere must be something special about the snow which falls in northern Scandinavia, with Kia joining the long list of manufacturers making the trek to test their latest prototypes in the freezing conditions.

In these spy shots we can see a heavily disguised example of the 2010 Kia Sportage being put through its paces in some rather deep snow.

The new Sportage will benefit from the latest technologies developed by Hyundai-Kia, including the highly efficient new six-speed automatic transmission and 2.0-litre turbo diesel R-engine.

A V6 powerplant is also likely to feature in the range for markets which prefer the added displacement such as the US and Australia, along with a six-speed manual gearbox.

The new Sportage is expected to share its powertrain with the upcoming replacement for its sister car, the Hyundai Tucson, as well as several other models in the Hyundai-Kia line-up.

Deep Snow, how deep can’t really tell.

Typical Korean – Ok slightly dull and boring. I’d take the Kuga instead I think?

  2. Jose says:

Hi guys, it’s a C200 SSANGYONG, exactaly the same car that you posted in http://www.caradvice.com.au/25.....australia/
The distance front the car may distorce some opinions, but it’s the same car with different whells..

  3. RALLYX says:

    To Jose.
“Hi guys, it’s a C200 SSANGYONG, exactly the same car that you posted in……….”

DAAAAAH!! My comments in the post http://www.caradvice.com.au/25.....australia/ were exactly that! “It’s the same car”, as I said it’s a KIA not a Ssangyong, but you agreed with CarAdvice and went against my comment, now suddenly you are trying to prove ‘my’ point! My advice Jose; read the posts / comments before commenting and remember what you wrote in previous posts.

You should be a Politician…..you must like doing back-flips.

PS don’t bother trying to prove ‘my’ (original) point to Car Advice, they won’t listen, they’ll only reply and tell you that this car is a KIA Sportage and the one in the previous post spied in Melbourne is a Ssangyong C200….when in fact a blind-person can see that they are the same car.

  4. Jose says:

    Dear Rallyx,
We’ll not discuss, I’m not a politician…The Time will Tell…Let’s wait. …….Who is right or wrong….No problem to me, I don’t need to be right, I want only express myself and my opinios……Se you in the next spy shot….

  5. Paul Maric says:

    RALLYX:

We know it’s the exact same car RALLYX, we never said it wasn’t.

We believe it’s a SsangYong on very good information, yet some people are hooked on it being a Kia.

  6. KIM JONG-SEO says:

    SSANGYONG MOTORS
    CAR NAME : C200

  7. Jose says:

    Dear RALLYX,
We have very strong information about this spy shots…..And…….We’re right. SSANGYONG C-200.
