BMW X6 looks like a male Baboon on 4 wheels, and from a rear view you guessed it a Baboon's ass.
Looks of pure digust would soon turn into laughter for anyone seen driving this $120,000 dumb expensive beast, why so much engine power given to this i dont understand.
Also the all over curved design of these european safety cars have been round for a longtime now, future new car buyers will want something alot different.

My wife loves it i love the V8 so we are going to buy one really a nice car but i will admit i will take it off road cause i can, as i took the Mazda and that was a total surprise it went everywhere. And the looks of pure disgust i got priceless.

Yeah Jennie, I'm sure the Ford Territory is a nicer drive. Oh wait, no it isn't. In fact it doesn't even start to begin to start to compare. Read the plusses; The engine, noise, handling, looks, performance, presence, cool-factor, everything else. I don't think the Territory has any of those things; except and engine of course, but not one that compares to a BMW twin turbo V8.
Have you driven this car? Well I don't need you to answer that for me, you obviously haven't.

Unlike the quality products out there that have some necessary function this car has none.

Lets face it. These cars will never see the dirt/rocks off road. It will never climb a gutter. The most action it will get is the shopping center car park as some short person struggles to do a reverse park in under 5 minutes

Its merely a fashion accessory for those with more money than sense. The same as a haircut or suit. just much more expensive.

For the same price you could buy two BMWs. A dedicated sports coupe and a comfy sedan. Why buy this monstrosity?
BMW wasted RD money on this crap!

I admire BMWs guts in building the thing but...

...has anyone sat in the back of one of these for any length of time? I'm shorter than the average guy and I find them very claustrophobic.

So we have a an overweight performance SuV (not much utility) for empty-nesters who want to "make a statement". Hmmm

This car is all of my dreams summed up. You couldn't create a more perfect car. I love BMW's commitment to building brilliant cars. Maybe someday I will have one...

I believe BMW's purpose in making this car was for people who wanted a further and higher viewing position but not the clumsy driving dynamics of SUV's (compared to lower cars per se). At first I thought it was a ridiculous idea. Also it looked as ugly as anything I've seen and 4 seats? It's also bigger than a X5 with less boot space. A rear view only abit better than a Lambo, all seemed completely nutters.

After seeing it in person afew times, I now think it looks great. I don't know why but I do. Most days I drive a SUV (not by choice) and I can understand why certain ppl would like a more exciting drive without sacrificing the driving position. My friends usually appreciate the space and height of a SUV too. Usually I'm on my own during drives so what's the point of 5 seats?

I'm sure there are plenty of people interested in such a weird idea of a car. Not everyone wants the practicality of a SUV, some just want a similar size car to slay apexes in.

As for the 5 series GT or PAS, it's actually the most customer focused car they've developed. It's a car crafted from what their customers told them they wanted in a car that was not already in the BMW lineup.

It's still hard to justify over an equivalent X5. It looks almost the same up front and shares pretty much everything underneath, but with only four seats and a heftier price tag. The X5, while being relatively practical, is still among the best handling 4x4s around, if not the best, so I don't find much sense in tapering the rear end and coming up with some coupe/truck whatsoever that pretty much belongs nowhere. It's no sports car nor will it travel where a Land Cruiser would.

Make no mistake, I love BMWs, but why are they wasting time and money building cumbersome 'coupes' such as this and the 6-Series, instead of some R8 killer or 911 fighter?

What the hell is the point of having a comment section if you take down critical posts?

All you have left is a bunch of like minded twits all sharing the same tissue box over a what could possibly be a completely crap house car?

And Hal, I skim though this website for industry news, rarely to read reviews. And why not reviews you ask? Cause every review I have read on this site are all the same. None are critical to any degree, and are all designed to either sit on the fence or jump into the lap of industry so they can get a drive in whatever else is coming out.

Journalistic integrity goes the window, and mutton is sold as lamb.

I might as well take advice from the top gear team. They too provide shithouse biased advice, but at least they are funny in doing so.

Yuck at the rear with ther HUGE mud flaps...I laugh. Other than that, its a unique car for people who dont care about money. Overpriced with a horrible looking rear....definately a BMW then!
