Oh, and for your information, my dog is not a smelly mut. In fact he’s very clean. If he wasn’t I wouldn’t have done what, in hindsight, was basically buying my dog a 35,000 pound BMW.

Cupid, I didn’t test a Volvo and an Alpina side by side. I tested a 320d Touring and a V50 D5 side by side and settled on the 3 Series because I decided that handling was more important than power in the city, then I heard about the Alpina which was just a 320d but better and I settled for that. And how don’t the numbers stack up? I use the Discovery a lot and when I’m not in the countryside, my parents or friends take it instead. You see, because you’re not me, you don’t know all the small details of why my Discovery has covered more miles than the older Range Rover that I personally use more. The Discovery is the one I lend to family and friends who are visiting (and there are a lot of them). The one I tow things with and the main one I go off road in. It’s mine but it gets passed around to everyone.
And I went to the Volvo dealer and said I was looking for a car to transport my dog, mainly from my house to various parks. I said I wasn’t sure if he could see out the window in the V50 so the dealer suggested I bring him in. Unfortunately, the dog was sick at the time. There’s nothing more to it. Any more questions?

All i’m saying Alex is it don’t stack up. Disco with 190K’s, Rangey with 100K’s plus. Why test a V50 and a Alpina touring side by side, different league. Dog chucking up! Can’t imagine any level headed car dealer letting anyone putting a smelly mutt in a demo car. Dreams Dreams Dreams.

Cupid, all I can write is go find the comments where I write about my COLLECTION. In fact, one of the ones you’ve listed mentions it. I have heaps of cars, more than thirty in fact. I’ll list the ones I remember if you like, I haven’t seen them in a while. I have the Alpina because my dog can’t climb into the Range Rover and he’s too heavy to lift into it everyday. I’m not so stupid as to write about my Range Rover for the last two years and then suddenly pretend I’ve never heard of it. But I have written about my other cars here and there as well, just not all of them because many are classics or just plain old and not that relevant to new stories and reviews.

I like the look of that facelift. Ive had my Range Rover I think since 2003 and its my favourite car ever. (2011 RR facelift)

I have quite a car collection, what I don’t spend on food and clothes goes on cars, petrol, diesel and servicing fees. Of all the cars I own, my favorite is my TDV8 Range Rover Vogue SE

I have this car a range rover sport and plenty of others including aston martins, bmws, mercedes, maseratis, audis, alfas and sorry but what can i say. I’m a real car collector but its obvious that your all just jealous that you can’t afford a $166,000 Range Rover.

Alex dont take it personally,Ive owned enough cars myself over the years but my taste is simply not yours. It wasnt an up your signal by any means.

On the V50 I can relate too that,my daughter did the same thing but in a new FPV GT………….it ended up being a Lemon{as some cars do}a signal,probably !
