2007 BMW M3 Spy Shots

June 15, 2006 by Alborz Fallah

2007 BMW M3Yes! Finally the new 2007 BMW M3 is out and about being tested. The current BMW M3 is sold in Australia at a starting price of $140,000 so if you don’t know yet, the M badge does to BMW cars what AMG does to Mercedes cars – fast & expensive. There is no official news as to when we will see the car down under but I would expect it in showrooms towards the end of 2007.

One of the more important differences between the old BMW M3 and the new BMW M3 is the engine. The M3 engine has always been known as the best V6 engine (3.2L) money can buy. The 3.2L engine produces 252 KW of power pushing the car to 100km/hour in 5.5 seconds! The new engine is a V8. Yep, big change for the M3. Exact figures are currently still sketchy but expect the new engine to develop over 400 horsepower and achieve acceleration to 100km/hr in around 5 seconds.
