After reading all the comments against the Ssangyong, I wonder how many have actually driven one?
Think they are Ugly? Have another beer then.
The difference between a Dog and a Fox is approx 3 beers!
I have driven the Ssangyong Actyon SUV and I think it is great.

I own a Ssangyong, and like the ways it looks and goes. Hey, reading the types of comments above, Clearly we have the ” Its got to look great or its no good crowd, but lets not worry about underneath” and then others who think that the likes of Mitsubishi Tritons with nice curvy jelly bean lines and pop art colored interiors is the way to go. Verrrry Trendy..
Before we get comments on Ssangyong reliability my Triton Ute has just been towed home again,for the forth time, this time because of a broken plastic component connecting the clutch pedel to the cylinder (- what rubbish, the push rod has fallen away from the pedal .)
I bought the Ssangyong because I can easily work on it, the engine parts are easy to get ( same as a Merc ) and the gearbox a BW is made here in Oz, and the rest of it is from major suppliers. I would trust it any day more than the Triton.

I think the guys of worldcarfan are wrong. This is not a KIA it’s a C200 by SSANGYONG…..

An you will find the same rear suspensio and the same dual piper , exactaly like the spy photos of the suposed to be a KIA. I believe this is a SSANGYONG in fact.

To Paul Maric: thanks for your response to my question; is it a SsangYong or a KIA. If your sources are correct about it not being a KIA then the guys on the next link I have posted here must be mistaken about it being a KIA too. Read their article as they mention that they first thought the car was a SsangYong C200 but now believe that it is in fact a KIA Sportage. I can imagine what happens in the Ssang Yong factory. A handful of people put the car together and the rest hit it with the ugly stick as it rolls down the production line.

GO to spain and you’ll see Sanyongs far more frequently. Dunno why possibly they are cheap to buy or the SPanish are tasteless.

I like the Ssangyong Actyon, because it looks so much better than the car that was copied off it – the BMW X6.

They are the same vehicle, I suspect the guys you have linked to have it confused for a Kia.

It’s certainly a SsangYong. Our sources have confirmed Kia are not testing any new vehicles in Australia at the moment and the workshop which housed this vehicle and the other prototypes doesn’t build equipment for Kia, but they do for SsangYong.
