2008 BMW M3 Driving Footage

May 1, 2007 by Alborz Fallah

The next generation E92 BMW M3 will not arrive in Australia for some time, so while we wait, lets have a look at the car in motion.

BMW have picked a rather odd colour for all the new M3 videos, nonetheless, a car this beautiful looks good regardless of the colour!

either way the M5s V10 modified for the M3 to a V8 engine sounds fantastic.

It is a truly amazing car isn’t it?
With a full carbon fiber roof as well!
This will give the Audi RS4 one hell of a run for its money

Yet another master piece.Audi WHO?? No not realy ther fast cars but there not normally aspirated are they?

Bonnet is still aluminum though.Got those E36 styled side mirrors back. 0-100 in 4.6 and a tacho that revs to 8400 for me. Thats 900 more RPM than my current M3 !

Rear wheels 18 x 40 x 265 ,265s ? There big for a car that size ? Not sure if I like the intake opening on the side of the bulge on the bonnet {power dome }but there for a reason.

My BMW dealer said this via email in March.

“In regards to the launch of the new M3, I’ve been told that the official launch in Germany will be in September, however we are to expect one in our showroom probably no earlier then late December or early January.”

Waiting for my invite to the launch !!Come on Christmas.

They don’t make them every year!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess !

Dont worry I am sure when the New Commodore comes out next month or is that next week looking like it you would have changed your mind.

Ever driven one though ? I know lots of guys that go out with ugly women but, hey they must have something going for them .

At lest it doesn’t look like its been designed by a 14 year old kid like the VE.

cant believe none of your noticed that BMW have gone back to the conventional 6 speed and done away with the SMG.

Looks like theyve realised the smg lacked driver excitement, which it did, as the 06′ M roadster had the good ol H-pattern as well.

E46 also had 6 speed I thought SMG was an option.

I would have thought it would get the new 7 speed SMG that all M5s have .M5 owners dont get the option of a 6 speed manual. Dont think the current 6 speed would have taken the extra grunt of the M5, maybe ?

I too hate the SMG wouldn’t have one.

Lisa, if the new M3 is better than sex, you must be doing something wrong!
