The Original Tom, I’m not trying to stir up bikes vs. cars debate. I am a lover of all things road going regardless of the number of wheels it has……well that’s not true trikes are pointless!
Anyway, I fully understand the beauty and overall awesomeness the Veyron (not this one) and if I had 9 zeros following +$1 in my bank account I would have one in a heartbeat. And I would park it right next to my bike.

Also, sure my Suzuki (not a Hyabusa) will never out brake a car but she does stop quite well with the end result being me still on the seat and upright. A trend I wish to continue!
It just requires a little more skill than mashing my foot into a pedal on the floor.

This most certainly is not the car for you if all you comment on is what it looks like. Looks have almost nothing to do with the purpose of this car. Heritage, yes; differentiation from other models, yes; but looks? Hardly relevant.

Jimbo, that isn’t the point is it? If you wanted to go fast cheaply, but at your peril, then sure go buy the bike. Go on, do it now.

Veyron is more than just a go-fast car. Outright bang for buck and top speed is not why you spend $2.66 million on a car.

People don’t dream about buying a ‘busa, unless they can’t afford one, and that is part of the mystique of this car. We wonder what sort of rich bastard can afford to splash that much money on a car that is ridiculously over-priced.

As for the bike vs car debate, we’ve been there and done that. At least in a car you won’t fall off and die at the slightest thought of hitting the brakes

LOL….Frontman and Howie-VL, both of you make very good points. However if I was to be doing +390km/h on a Hyabusa I would be wearing at least two full pairs of racing leathers on top of oneanother and I would have legally changed my name to Capt Brown Pants.

This colour is SOOOOOOOO much better than the Black and Maroon they orriginally showed the veyron in!!
Jimbo, the Veyron is better than the Suzuki because when you and I are draging down the runway at 390km/h and we run through a swarm of locusts, they wont leave holes in my arms like they woul yours :p

Although $19K will buy me a Suzuki Hayabusa plus a couple of grand for an after market turbo and a retune and she will reach +390km/h……..Why buy a Veyron at all?

I can not think of a worse colour, I would even choose hot pink over the above anyday.
My outrage means nothing though as I am too poor to own any kind of sports car.
