Nissan NV200 at Geneva Motor Show
March 4, 2009 by Matt Brogan
The Nissan NV200 is an all-new passenger vehicle derived from the NV200 light commercial vehicle.
Its predecessor, the Nissan Kubistar, shared its platform and body with the Renault Kangoo, and although the NV200 has its own body style, it will again based on the Kangoo.
The NV200’s design is an evolution of the Nissan NSV – New Small Van – concept study, first shown at the 2007 Tokyo auto show (think Nissan Cube).
Nissan initially wanted to produce the NV200 at the Morocco plant it planned to share with Renault, but now Nissan is looking for another location.
Insiders say that the Japanese automaker’s Barcelona plant is the most likely option.
The NV200 will come to the European market first as an LCV, due in September. The passenger-car version arrives at European dealers in March 2010.

I’m going to call it – UGLIEST CAR IN HISTORY.
^^ Definately. Ssanyongs look fantastic compared to this! Nissan – bring out a gem one day, a complete turd the next.
Double comment, but it actually looks like a fridge!! Door handles, colour..everything!
I have seen images of this van but eith a different cargo area configuration.. instead of the traditional tailgate; it had a rack which you pulled out [similar to an Ikea kitchen]
In the images the rack was full of tools – to show its the perfect vehicle for a Tradie; and in another the rack had sports equipment in it – to show it can also be a recreational vehicle for people with an active lifestyle
