I have an ‘07, and Hal’s right TS is not THAT much of an issue. I don’t like the looks of this new model though, the rear end and twin pipes look cool (lose the silver tail-light treatment though), but the scoop and big cheesy grin take away from the sleeper appeal this car always had.

I don’t like it.

I agree with Hal, drive one & you won’t look back. Forget all the armchair critic’s bullshit that haven’t even driven the current model.I f you can’t handle the torque steer buy a VW beetle..for the money nothing compares. I have kicked the R’s of many V8’s who have underestimated the car…I will certainly be looking at upgrading to the new model.

I quite like it. The inside reminds me of a new looking GTR familia, which this is almost a FWD newborn of it anyway, as mazda 3 took over the 323 series. It is such a pity its not 4WD as that is what made the GTR such an amazing car, looks externally are fine, a front mounted intercooler may have been nicer to get rid of the scoop, but the aggressive front bar doesnt leave much room for good airflow. Looks great, sure it drive great, another +1 to mazda

For those of you who haven’t driven the current model 3MPS, please do so. Don’t listen to the other know-it-all commenters who bag it for the supposed torque steer – being able to control the car is half the challenge and the very reason why it is so much fun to drive. Then, if you don’t need the power, hit cruise control and it’s just as happy cruising around town. I can’t believe how fast this thing is, and when it comes to mid-range acceleration, then you are aboslutely loving every ounce of that 380Nm of torque. You will not wipe the smile off your face for days afterwards.

Again, bring on September.

That is one of the best interiors ive seen on any car anywhere, especially the dash and centre console layout. And its all wrapped in a sweet looking exterior.

This car looks great. it actually matches, and improves on the old MPS style. Why doesn’t the new SP25 do the same?

Let the rush buy in, then wait until the gen 2 series, maybe mazda will slip in the RS’ tricky revokuckle system into the MPS.

maybe by then the SP’s styling will be beefed up also

The previous model has enormous amount of torque steer. Let’s hope this one is much better. SM, yeah shame that there’s no sedan version.

I love Mazdas and this is nice but I think if i had to choose I would buy the Ford Focus as it has alot more character and has the better version of the Ford platform that both these cars use. Looks better too……

Hopefully they fix up the eLSD.

But regardless, I love that new red/ambient stitching. Gives it a sort of a glow.

hmmm….that front bumper seems a bit better than the clown car look the rest of the range suffers from….look good in black :D

I will still check it out upon release and see if I can part with my 07 Mazda 6 CD for this…hmmm….mrs reckons it looks OK….well…..we’ll see what they look like in the flesh first.
