JJ: No car has ever achieved 5 stars for child and pedestrian. The new system, as explained in the opening paragraph, gives weighted scores for each category, meaning that 3 stars for child and 3 stars for pedestrian could still result in an overall 5 star rating if the points score for passenger was high enough.

Gut feeling, car companies are now designing cars to pass the 5-star test, the real safest and most practical situation as a second consideration.

Anyway, every new car released is making it 5-star, time to raise the bar A LOT higher.

Forget 6 star, lets skip that and make the premium rating a 7-star.Crash impact of say 75kmh
