    If the rumours are true regarding a 2010 Prado price in the region of S.A. Rand 600,000 I must say that I think the Prado-Marketting-People did smoke a lot of ” funny-tobacco” , by looks alone it should cost at least S.A. R 50,000 less than the 2009 model. It looks like a ” fat-bitch”.! If they gave the option in S.A. of a V8 version, petrol/diesel, I might have bought one, but the current Ugly Model, nope, i dont want. Buy me a brand new Pajero v6 for nearly S.A. R 60,000 less.!

    My BMW X5 2004 Sports pack just completed 100k .Love the vehicle. Been noticing serious thump on take off at intersections ,2nd gear for over 2 years . Vehicle has been to dealer at least 3 times with the same complaint . Did not get any satisfaction . Has any one experienced similar problem and how was it sorted and overcome. Vehicle in nick condition and never been off road.

    Pickup a new X240 recently.

    Sure it isn’t the quickest off the line, but it is a fabulous unit on and off road. Took it for it’s first long drive including mountain roads, bush tracks, fire tracks in 4H and 4L. Handled everything like a car 3 times it’s price. Everything works exceptional well. Great solid build, tight, little to no dust intrusion, willing worker. Engine gets noticabley better after the 1st 1000 kms.

    Couldn’t be happier. Looks so good with tinted front windows to match, side steps and towbar. For $25k with sunroof, 3 yrs warranty and 3 yrs roadside assist this car is an absolute bargain.

    Friends love to have a dig about the made in China thing, but I just remind all the their cars are built in Australia (and elsewhere) for $15k more with parts made in China.

    Just purchased the great wall x240about 4 weeks ago..i have found it an overall nice car to drive and very happy with the fuel economy as it is way over what they advise apart from the lack of power,does not like to idle in 2nd gear at a low speed and flat out if you want to take it any where over 120kph.(which will prevent a lot of speeding fines for the future purchasers i suspect) little things like the roof lining not fitted properly on some edges, chrome strips on the outside being a little loose some rattles appearing in the gear lever boot cover, glove box will randomly open when driving, faulty catch im guessing, the climate control front panel has already been replaced as the mode button went in and would not come back out so the air con would randomly come on and off, brake dust is a constant problem as the front wheels are always covered in a film as soon as you wash the car and it spreads up the side of the car,,wondering if this will in time effect the duco ( has anyone else had a problem with this) i did not get a spare key with the car and am still waiting on one but suspect this was a problem with someone from Holden losing it. Also i have to slam the doors as they do not close properly and my driver window shattered this morning on just closing the door… has any one had a problem with glass in these vehicles.. would be very interested to hear from other owners… deb

      I think you’ll probably get a few more replies if you post that with full stops and on an article relevant to Great Wall. That sounds like a pretty shoddy quality, no wonder they won’t supply a test car to anyone. It’s a bit late now but you probably would have been better off buying a near new Tuscon or Captiva.
