Sedan Type R will not been sold like hot cakes if Honda Australia keeps ripping off customer with the exchange rate excuse. Honda drivers are not stupid to continue buying Honda. Stop being greedy and more people will buy Honda.

My brother has an 08 Red Type R which I have taken for a spin and I have to say it is one of the funnest little pocket rockets I've ever had the pleasure to drive.

I think it might be a touch expensive considering what else is available in that price range now but it is very very sweet thing to drive. Tons of fun, plenty of character.

I guess the styling is ok too if you're into trigonometry.

It's sourced from UK, this one also costs 1000pounds more over the Type R GT sold there, so it's not too bad... although the AUD has gained a little ground on the pound since the Type R was launched here in 07.

^I gotta agree with the price hikes, considering most of Honda's lineup comes from Thailand.

This thing wasn't selling at all in 2008. They had runaway deals at 40G pretty much all year. I've probably seen around 5 of them all year on the road.

They've added $2000 to the price and expect it to sell? Hmmm Honda has really lost the plot with recent price hikes on their whole range.

I know the AUD has lost value but other manufacturers are doing a better job with their prices compared to Honda.

There's a a lot of hot hatches at the 40G barrier that the Type R has to compete against and I don't think it has a chance with this price increase.
