The NV200 will be the first in the new series of commercial vehicles for Nissan but it is unclear when or even if the model will make it to Australia.

Available in three styles – van, passenger and combi the NV200 is based on the same front-wheel-drive platform as the Nissan Cube.

Two engine choices will be available including an 80kW 1.6-litre four cylinder petrol and an 84kW 1.5-litre diesel.

The NV200 will also feature standard ESP when it goes on sale in Europe mid way through this year.

Why do we get all the boring commercial vehicles here? We could have the Chev HHR, Astra panel van but Holden chooses the Combo.

I like the look of this and think it would be great for businesses that don’t need a full size van that wants something a little funkier than a Combo or Caddy. I could also see this being sold as a recreational vehicle, perfect for a weekend away camping.

Don’t laugh. Your daughter could be in the back of this, if you get my drift.

Lucky I only have boys then, but if they are in with your girl then I’m worried. Ha Ha

From what I’ve seen and read about it on Autoblog its quite an innovative car which would have a number of applications fro both businesses and those with an active lifestyle..

One feature is that the back rolls out the back similar to the pantry of an Ikea kitchen which has a rack system to give you easy access to your tools or whatever.

However; I wouldn’t be surprised if some owners decide to load it up with a $15K custom doof doof system
