Volvo to expand DRIVe model range

February 25, 2009 by Matt Brogan

Although it’s been a year since Volvo officially launched its DRIVe lineup of vehicles, it has today announced the addition of a further four models to the range which will be launched at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.

The V70, S80, XC60 and XC70 are all set to receive the DRIVe treatment adding to the existing C30, S40 and V50 line up (pictured above).

To meet the strict environmental credentials Volvo has sought from its DRIVe vehicles, the new additions must meet strict CO2 emission levels set by the Swedish manufacturer. The V70 and S80 managed 129g/km while the XC60 and XC70 came in at 159g/km.

More specifications and details on Volvo’s updated DRIVe model range will be made available following the Geneva Motor Show next month.
