Mazda MX-5 parade sets new world record

A group of 683 Mazda MX-5 sports cars has set a new world record for the longest parade of driving Mazdas ever.

The new record, smashing the previous record of 459 Mazda MX-5s set back in 2010, was set at the RDW Test Centre – a test track in Lelystad, Netherlands – during Mazda’s annual MAX–5 event.

The 1450 participants were entertained with demonstrations from the RiBank Mazda MaX5 Cup racers, as well as being given a chance to give Mazda’s new i-ACTIVESENSE technology a thorough once over.

Guinness World Record adjudicator Pravin Patel was on hand to award CEO of Mazda Europe Jeff Guyton the official certificate.
