Probably. I don&#039;t know how Opel is doing. However, according to the article, many politicians doubt the company&#039;s viability in the long term. In contrast to BMW and Mercedes, which you would think they are quite viable.

I think government intervention is just a short term relief for fixing shorter term problems(losings votes from ppl losing job?). It&#039;s better for the society in the long term to just let the less-than-viable companies fall over.</description>

		<description>It&#039;s going to be interesting how the auto indstry will play out. Taking NA out of the equation, there are those governments that are supporting car industry in there country ie Japan, Korea, Australia, France. Then there is those who are letting market forces do there trick ie,Germany,UK,Sweden,Thailand.

 Germany is a big suprise considering it contribute so much to their GDP.
