I purchased the mazda tribute model - only just done 125k, now the auto has gone. I checked the web and this seems a huge problem with Escapes and Tributes. The petrol consumption is high and resale prices are very low on this model. I would recommend that buyers look around. I'm in the hunt and this site is very helpful.

Own a 2005 Ford Escape for the last 2 years and no complaints so far. This beauty has brought me to places where the likes of RAV4 etc got stucked in Sand and Muds.

If you are looking for a solid workhorse which can double up for daily driving and occasionally off-roading, this is it. But if you are looking for Style and Design...why are you here ??...go look elsewhere (CRV, X3, RAV4 etc)..
