Listening to Paul Beranger talk about this car, you would think that he has single-handedly delivered humanity from certain doom (”Blue is the new green”). Call me a cynic, but I’m pretty sure that car stylists will not play a part in saving the world, no matter how much blue plastic they use.

Why don’t toyota bring the Klugger Hybrid here? The amount of korean Captivas being sold and the failing Territory sales, shows familys want an ecconomical family wagon.

Frontman, I would suggest that most of the government (TAXPAYERS) money will go to lowering the price and subsidising Toyota selling the hybrid for less than they cost them.
Nobody will pay $45-50 000 for a camry – no matter how green it is.
Most people will go and test drive the camry hrbid for the novelty but wind up buying the old petrol type for its price. They may get some fleets on board with them.

I am somewhat surprised they bothered about restyling the camry for the hybrid version, thought it would just be the same as the US version. Unless this is going to applied to the facelifted camry meant to appear later this year

Can anyone tell me why they’d bother doing a styling exercise like that on a the camry when head office will only tell them to do it exactly the same as the US car?? Is this what they got the 70 mil for?? A blue badge and some dimples to go with the removal of energy sapping high beam lights……….

Who would bother to go to a motor show to see a Camry or Prius?

Nothing slightly interesting about any Toyota in Australia right now.
