Lamborghini Academy program for 2009

February 21, 2009 by George Skentzos

Lamborghini has announced the official dates for its 2009 Academy programs, with courses open to all driving enthusiasts – not just Lamborghini customers.

Split into three levels – Track, Advanced and Winter Academies – the courses provide an extraordinary opportunity to experience the full potential of Lamborghini cars under the expert tuition of the brand’s professional instructors.

Held at various race tracks around Europe from Spring 2009, the Track Academy course acts as the entry point into the Lamborghini Academy world where participants hone their circuit skills in the new Gallardo LP560-4.

The Advanced Academy is the top level course which concentrates on optimum control and performance on the track, backed by an in-vehicle telemetry system in either the Gallardo LP560-4 or Murciélago LP640.

For a bit more fun, the Winter Academy provides limited-grip driving to explore the full potential of Lamborghini’s all-wheel-drive system on snow and ice in a safety-controlled environment.

Participants improve their handling and feel of Lamborghini’s permanent four-wheel drive cars, learn to manage understeer and oversteer both with and without ABS and ESP, master ‘controlled drifting’ and, of course, find the ideal ‘racing line’ on track.

To relive the experience time again, each participant also receives their own in-car footage of the entire driving day as well as a photo CD of all the action on track.

The courses start from around AU$7700 which includes accommodation, cars at the race track and professional tuition. For further information visit www.lamborghiniacademy.com.
