Peugeot Onyx concept bound for Goodwood, taking passengers

The wild Peugeot Onyx concept will make its public dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, with the French marque offering free passenger laps in the 507kW diesel hybrid supercar.

First seen at the 2012 Paris motor show, the Peugeot Onyx concept, powered by a diesel-electric hybrid unit comprising a mid/rear-mounted 3.7-litre V8 diesel engine and a lithium-ion battery pack, will not only move beyond being a static display at this year’s Goodwood festival but Peugeot is also running a competition offering anyone over the age of 18 the chance to ride shotgun in the 1100kg rear-wheel-drive supercar concept.

Peugeot’s prize is inclusive of two tickets to Goodwood on Saturday July 13, 2013, and can be entered by leaving contact details here.

With wings and doors made of handcrafted pure copper sheet, a matt black body of carbonfibre and an interior featuring a one-piece pod constructed of ‘newspaper wood’, the opportunity to get personal with the Peugeot Onyx concept is truly a money-can’t-buy experience.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Goodwood Festival of Speed kicks off at Goodwood House in Chichester, West Sussex, on July 11.
