I own a Black MY09 Sedan and it is bloody RAPID. All those 12 year olds saying "I drove one and it was slow" pfff watever, i think u should have turned the car on intead of pretending to drive one. I admit the rear isnt great looking but I can handle it when i get 0-100 times 0f 5.3 seconds with all wheel drive grip and great handling. And there have been many independant road tests on the MY09 and the 0-100 times have been very close to 5.3.. like 5.4 ect. Tell me where I can buy a stock car brand new for 39,990 with THIS level of performance and i'll buy one!!

i don't think subaru need to lift their game at all. they've been producing record sales numbers for their impreza line. to top this, ever since the first 2009 WRX landed on these shores, there has been a consistent 3 month waiting period for all new cars. dealers can't keep up with demand. unsure if this is a "Just in time" inventory process for the Japan manufacturing plants to kerb holding costs, but it seems this model WRX is more popular than ever before.

The plan was to expand the market for the WRX instead of the ram-raiding hoons. But they went too far to sanitize this. The STI is another beast, which looks much better. This sedan is a mess, rear-end is just a Corolla, really plain-jane. I love Subaru's, but they've missed out here, should be 6-speed manual and a DSG/DVT Style gear-box option, as per new Liberty. Also stanadrd alloy's look boring..change the rims and re-design rear lights and it would improve looks by 50%.

Subaru need to pick it up.. they seem to be losing ground and need to change the shape fast. Just seems at this time there are not many good looking sedans and the hatch backs are in? With the global down turn and the cars look, sales will no doubt be down. Still a bargin for under 40k with engine, interior and stats are impresive. I'm a rexy man though and though and will only upgrade from my ugly "bugeyed" MY02 when they release something better looking. Should a WRX come out in a 2 door?
