HSV Gen-F: hot VF Commodore range revealed at midnight

Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) will officially launch its HSV Gen-F range, the sportiest versions of the Holden VF Commodore, at midnight tonight.

We'll bring you a full gallery, pricing and specifications of the new 430kW GTS, Clubsport, Grange, Senator and Maloo from the moment the embargo lifts.

Although the performance arm of Holden called its VE Commodore-based cars E Series 1 to 3 through their lifecycle, HSV has so far announced it will tag its version of the VF as the Gen-F, to avoid clashing with Ford's F-Series ute and the F1 premier motorsport category.

Information has since leaked that the new HSV GTS will be powered by a 430kW/740Nm version of General Motors’ supercharged 6.2-litre ‘LSA’ V8 from the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

It easily eclipses the 375kW/640Nm output of the limited edition HSV W427 of 2008-2009, and will challenge the 335kW/575Nm FPV GT RSPEC for the title of Australia's fastest production car, with a sub-4.5 second 0-100km/h time.

The rest of the leaked details can be read here, but all the official pictures and full specifications will be confirmed here tonight at midnight. Stay tuned.
